[murmur] at Eastern Park and Eastern Beach is a collection of personal stories relating to specific locations within this popular, shared public space in Geelong.
At each of the locations marked on this map a green [murmur] sign with a telephone number and a six-digit location code marks where stories are available. On the ground, you can use the maps to find the sign locations, then use your mobile phone to SMS the number on the sign to listen to the stories.
Alternatively, use this web-site to explore the mapped area and listen to associated stories.
Perhaps you have your own story to contribute in connection with a particular location at Eastern Beach or Eastern Park? If so, please contact us so we can arrange for your story to be recorded and added to [murmur].
[murmur] in Geelong has been developed as part of a three-year arts project called Connecting Identities, celebrating links between people and places across Geelong. Connecting Identities has brought together artists, community members, cultural organisations and local government through workshops, exhibitions and events to build connection and strengthen local identity. More information about [murmur] in Geelong and other aspects of the Connecting Identities project can be found online at: www.geelongcity.vic.gov.au/connectingidentities/.
